Thunderstorm Kills 3 Fulani, and Over 60 Cows in Delta State.

In a tragic incident that has left the local communities in deep shock, a powerful thunderstorm reportedly killed more than 60 cows and claimed the lives of three Fulani herders at the boundary between Idumuje Ugboko and Ewhomi in Delta State.

According to eyewitnesses, the devastating lightning struck during the early hours of the day, just as the herders were tending to their cattle. The force of the strike was so intense that it instantly electrocuted the animals grazing in the open field and left the herders lifeless at the scene.

Residents from both neighboring communities rushed to the location upon hearing the thunderclap, only to witness a heartbreaking sight—dozens of cattle lying motionless, with the lifeless bodies of the herders nearby. It is believed that the victims were caught completely off guard by the natural disaster.

Local authorities were contacted and have since visited the scene to assess the situation. Traditional leaders and community members have expressed their condolences to the affected families and have called for support to help them recover from the devastating loss.
