In a commendable display of vigilance and bravery, gallant immigration officer PRINCE ORJI UGOCHUKWU known on Facebook as OKEOSISI UGO narrated how he spotted and captured a suspected kidnapper and ritualist, EZEANI, popularly known as ICHIE BILLION or E DEY PLAY E DEY SHOW , along the Seme road checkpoint in Gbaji, Lagos State.
The incident occurred on WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON while Officer Ugochukwu was on duty at his checkpoint. He recounted that a commercial motorcycle carrying a young man approached, and something about the rider struck a chord in his memory. The man wore a face cap, but his face resembled someone he had seen in viral social media posts and security alerts a fugitive accused of kidnapping and ritual activities.

Acting on instinct and prior intel, Officer Ugochukwu attempted to stop the bike, but the rider sped past him, ignoring his signal. Without hesitation, the officer boarded another motorcycle and gave chase. He eventually caught up with the suspect at another immigration checkpoint ahead. Determined not to lose him again, Officer Ugochukwu ordered the bike to turn back. This time, he joined them on the same motorcycle to ensure the suspect didn’t escape again.
On the way back to his checkpoint, the suspect began to question why he was being pursued. Officer Ugochukwu then brought out his phone and showed him the circulating photos and details of his alleged crimes. The suspect, however, denied the accusations, claiming the man in the photos was his brother, not him. He also denied being a native doctor or having any connection to the crimes in question.
In a desperate attempt to escape justice, the suspect allegedly tried to bribe Officer Ugochukwu with a staggering ₦10 million, which he described as "BLOOD MONEY." When that failed, he offered his iPhone 13 ProMax, claiming it was worth over a million naira, along with a TECNO CAMON 19 phone.
Still, the officer refused all bribes and firmly escorted the suspect back to the checkpoint.
Upon return, Officer Ugochukwu took fresh photos of the suspect and sent a signal to his command at the Seme Border Patrol Command.
After verification, it was confirmed that the man was indeed the wanted individual. He was promptly handcuffed and taken to the command's head office for further investigation and processing.
Interestingly, many of his colleagues reportedly didn’t recognize the suspect at first, making Officer Ugochukwu’s keen observation even more commendable. His actions not only highlight the importance of alertness in security work but also demonstrate integrity and a strong stand against corruption.
This arrest adds to the growing concerns over ritual activities and kidnapping rings in the country. Officer Prince Orji Ugochukwu's swift response and refusal to be swayed by money is a true example of professionalism and dedication to duty.
