Tottenham Hotspur have dismissed head coach Ange Postecoglou, concluding his two-year tenure with the club. Despite leading Spurs to their first major trophy in 17 years by securing the UEFA Europa League title, the decision was driven by a disappointing domestic campaign in the 2024–25 Premier League season. The team finished 17th, their lowest top-flight position since 1977, recording 22 losses and accumulating just 38 points.

Chairman Daniel Levy acknowledged Postecoglou's contributions, stating that while the European success was commendable, the overall trajectory in league performance was unsatisfactory. The club emphasized the need for a new approach to achieve competitiveness on multiple fronts.

Postecoglou expressed pride in his achievements and gratitude towards the club and its supporters. He highlighted the foundations laid for future success and the potential within the current squad.

The search for a new head coach is underway, with Brentford's Thomas Frank and Fulham's Marco Silva emerging as leading candidates to replace Postecoglou.
